About PE Hobie Beach Parkrun
The PE Hobie Beach parkrun is a free, timed 5-kilometre community event held every Saturday at 8:00 AM along the beachfront in Gqeberha. Starting near the Shark Rock Pier, the flat coastal course guides participants along paved pathways and a sandy beach section to the harbour wall before returning to the finish area. The event relies entirely on volunteers, and while participation is free, runners and walkers must register online beforehand and present their personal barcode at the finish line to receive an official recorded time.
