The Durban Bluff Paragliding Launch (South) is a coastal ridge soaring site located in Merewent, Durban, situated at an altitude of approximately 60 to 77 metres above sea level. The site is suitable for intermediate and advanced pilots, offering a 12 km flyable coastline when south-southeast to east-southeast winds are active. Because the ridge sits within restricted airspace, pilots must adhere to a strict flight ceiling of 180 metres and receive clearance from both Virginia Air Traffic Control and 15 Squadron AFB Durban before taking off.
