About Hluhluwe Parkrun
The Hluhluwe parkrun is a free, weekly 5km community event located at 1 Ngweni Road in Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal. Holding the title of the most easterly parkrun on the African continent, the course takes participants along a dirt and grass trail through bushveld, fever tree forests, and pineapple fields. It starts at 07:00 AM during summer and 08:00 AM in winter, requiring a one-time free registration for a timed result. The route is situated near the Ilala Weavers complex, where participants regularly spot local wildlife like nyala, impala, and warthogs, though personal dogs are not permitted.
