About North Beach Parkrun

The North Beach parkrun in Durban, is a free, weekly 5km community event held every Saturday morning at 08:00 AM. Starting and finishing at the Pirates Lifesaving Club, the course follows an entirely flat out-and-back route along the wide, brick-paved beachfront promenade known as the Golden Mile. The event accommodates all fitness levels, allowing participants to run, jog, or walk, and it relies entirely on local volunteers to operate each week. While participation is free, individuals must register online prior to their first event to obtain a personal barcode, which is scanned at the finish line to track and record official finish times.
