About Shongweni Parkrun
The Shongweni parkrun is a free, weekly 5km trail event held every Saturday at 8:00 AM at the Durban Shongweni Club in Summerveld. The community-led event features a scenic two-lap course that utilizes shared single tracks and grass paddocks, accommodating runners, walkers, dogs on leads, and off-road prams. While participation is entirely free, runners must register online beforehand and bring a scannable personal barcode to receive an official recorded time.
