About Umfolozi parkrun
The Umfolozi parkrun is a free, weekly 5-kilometre event held every Saturday morning at the Teza Game Reserve in Mtubatuba, KwaZulu-Natal. The timed course consists of a scenic loop on a mixture of gravel roads and sandy double tracks that pass by local waterholes. Because the event takes place within a private game reserve, dogs are strictly prohibited, and the terrain can be challenging for prams. The event relies entirely on local volunteers, and participants must register online and bring their personal scannable barcode to receive an official finish time.
