About Graskop Gorge Lift Co
The Graskop Gorge Lift Co. is a prominent eco-tourism development situated along the Panorama Route just outside the town of Graskop in Mpumalanga. The central feature of the property is a 51-meter glass viewing elevator that travels down a sheer cliff face to provide access to a deep, indigenous forest valley below. At the base of the gorge, visitors can explore a 600-meter network of elevated wooden walkways and suspension bridges complete with educational exhibits detailing the local ecosystem and forest biology.
The site spans both sides of the gorge, connected by a 52-meter-long suspension bridge hanging 70 meters above the forest floor that overlooks the Motitsi Waterfall. For adventure activities, the venue operates a 68-meter freefall cable gorge swing and a multi-stage zipline course that traverses the canyon. The visitor center includes accessible viewing decks, a cliffside restaurant and bar, artisanal craft markets, and a children's play area, with the entire facility operating daily from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
