About Elephant Walk Retreat
Elephant Walk Retreat is a family-owned eco-tourism lodge positioned on the banks of the Crocodile River, situated 50 metres from the Crocodile Bridge Gate entry to the Kruger National Park. The property's location allows guests to observe regional wildlife, including elephants and hippos, directly from its viewing decks. Accommodation options are divided into two distinct setups: the Elephant Walk Retreat, which offers nine air-conditioned self-catering units ranging from log cabins to premier suites with private braai facilities, and the Elephant Walk Tented Camp, which provides full-board luxury canvas tents with private decks and boma dining.
To ensure continuous electricity, the lodge utilizes a solar power system with backup energy. Property amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, thatched lapa relaxation areas, and complimentary Wi-Fi available at reception and within the premium suites. While immediate provisions can be found at the nearby Crocodile Bridge Rest Camp shop, full commercial services, restaurants, and grocery stores are located 11 kilometres away in the town of Komatipoort. Guests can access the national park independently or book open-vehicle safaris and guided bush walks organized directly through the retreat.
