About Dullstroom Heritage Museum
The Dullstroom Heritage Museum, located at 194 Teding Van Berkhout Street in Dullstroom, Mpumalanga, is a local historical center managed and curated by the volunteer-led Dullstroom Heritage Society. Housed within a historical property, the museum preserves and displays artifacts, photographs, and records detailing the region's history, spanning from the arrival of the initial Dutch settlers in the 1880s through the events of the Anglo-Boer War.
The exhibits also highlight the development of the town's prominent trout fly-fishing industry and local ecological history. Funded primarily by public donations, the facility features a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking lot, and restroom, and it serves as a starting point for self-guided heritage walking tours of the town by providing historical maps and brochures to visitors.
