About AmoMabs Karate Institute

AmoMabs Karate Institute is a premier, highly respected martial arts academy operating out of the main hall of Xanadu Private School at 630 Kubla Khan Drive inside the Xanadu Eco Park enclave in Hartbeespoort. Specialising in traditional and dynamic Shotokan Karate, the institute is officially affiliated with Japan Karate Shoto Federation (JKS) South Africa. Led by passionate instructors Sensei Thami and Amo, the academy focuses heavily on building young leaders, nurturing students of all genders from ages 4 to 18 spanning from white belt beginners to advanced black belts. Beyond technical martial arts and self-defence proficiency, the program is locally celebrated for its positive reinforcement that fosters incredible confidence, focus, and core life discipline. Visitors overwhelmingly praise the coaches' remarkable dedication especially during national JKS union tournaments—and highlight a highly specialized addition: custom fitness and self-defence classes explicitly tailored for women. It serves as an elite youth development node for families staying within the local estate blocks.
