About Silver Orange Bistro
Silver Orange Bistro is an upscale, country-style restaurant established in 2004 by Executive Chef Leon Nel on the Altyd Mooi working citrus orchard in Hartbeespoort. The venue is housed in a thatched manor house decorated with antique Murano crystal chandeliers, featuring an indoor fireplace and an outdoor garden terrace.
The kitchen specializes in contemporary European cuisine with South African influences, serving dishes such as crocodile and kudu carpaccio, slow-cooked oxtail, duck, and various gin and citrus infusions. The property includes a dedicated helicopter landing space, serves award-winning wine and gin selections, and shares its grounds with a sister tapas and wine bar venue named Almost Orange.
