The Crag Lizard Trail is a short, scenic hiking route located in Camdeboo National Park near Graaff-Reinet. It is primarily known for offering spectacular views of the Valley of Desolation, featuring 120-metre high dolerite columns and panoramic vistas of the Great Karoo. Distance: Approximately 1.5 km circular loop. Duration: Takes about 45 minutes to complete at a leisurely pace. Difficulty: Easy and suitable for all ages, though the path can be rocky and requires careful footing near cliff edges. Route: Starts at the Valley of Desolation parking area. The trail is well-marked with lizard logo markers.
