About Rooikat Hiking Trail
Located in the New Agatha State Forest, this trail is famous for its evergreen indigenous forests and refreshing river stops. Location: New Agatha Forest Station, approximately 18 km from Tzaneen. Distance & Time: An 11 km circular loop taking roughly 5 hours. Difficulty: Moderate; well-marked but can be steep in sections. Need to Know: Permits are required at the Forest Station. Bring cash as card facilities may not be available for the entrance fee.
