About Aqueduct Trail
The Aqueduct Trail on Table Mountain is widely regarded as one of Cape Town's most tranquil and scenic "hidden gems," particularly famous for its spectacular display of Red Disa orchids during the summer. Unlike the more crowded front-face routes, the Aqueduct offers a peaceful, "sacred" silence. The path follows a man-made stone channel built in the late 1800s, leading past small waterfalls and clear mountain pools where you can often refill water bottles.
