About Devil's Peak Hike Start
The primary starting point for hiking Devil's Peak is on Tafelberg Road. This "city-side" ascent is considered the shortest and easiest route to the summit, making it popular for beginners. Depending on your fitness level and desired scenery, there are three main trailheads in Cape Town. Start Location: Park along Tafelberg Road, approximately 2.4km to 2.5km past the Lower Cableway Station. The trailhead is clearly signposted and located just after the start of the more crowded Platteklip Gorge trail.
