About Start Of Cape Hangklip Trail
Tucked away at the top of Stream Road, the Start Of Cape Hangklip Trail acts as the central wilderness entry gate into the Hangklip Conservation Area. The route begins as an unhurried walk through a beautiful valley blanketed in diverse, flowering Cape fynbos. After roughly 1.2 kilometres, hikers take a steep right fork to begin the rocky, lung-busting ascent up the spine of Hangklip Mountain. Reaching the boulder-strewn summit rewards adventurers with exceptional, uninterrupted views stretching across False Bay to Cape Point, Table Mountain, and the rolling Kogelberg mountain range. It is a completely free public route, making it an absolute must-do outdoor excursion for experienced walkers visiting the Overberg region.
