About Kranshoek Coastal Day Walk
The Kranshoek Coastal Day Walk is a challenging, 9 km (approx. 5-hour) circular hiking trail near Knysna/Plettenberg Bay within the Garden Route National Park. It features dramatic, steep terrain, moving from high forested cliffs down to a rocky coastline and a river gorge. Known for incredible, rugged ocean views, the trail requires high fitness and features, including rocky scrambling, a waterfall, and fynbos, and it starts at the Kranshoek picnic site.
