About Queen's Blockhouse Landmark
Situated on the flanks of Devil's Peak, the site provides breathtaking views over Table Bay, the city centre, and the harbor. Built in the late 18th century (originally called the York Blockhouse) during the first British occupation, it served as a strategic lookout point to defend Cape Town from land attacks.
