About Spitskop Landmark
Spitskop (also spelled Spitzkop) is a lesser-known, striking mountain peak rising 441 to 492 meters above the Noordhoek Valley in Cape Town. Situated within the Silvermine West section of the Table Mountain National Park, this hidden geographic gem is highly regarded by local hikers for offering panoramic vistas that rival or surpass the higher neighboring summits. Reached via a scratchy single-track path crossing the Steenberg Plateau or branching off the old wagon trail, a steep final 250-meter climb rewards hikers with sweeping bird's-eye views stretching over the vast white sands of Noordhoek Beach, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Constantia winelands.
