About Kudube Dam
Kudube Dam, also known as Leeukraal Dam, is an 11-meter-high earth-fill dam situated on the Apies River near Hammanskraal in the City of Tshwane. It serves as a primary raw water reservoir for the Temba Water Purification Plant, which supplies drinking water to the surrounding region. The infrastructure features a specialized pump station, gates, and pipework, and the site is currently under evaluation for potential small-scale hydropower development.
