About Diepkloof Farm Museum
The Diepkloof Farm Museum is a historical open-air museum located within the Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve near Heidelberg, Gauteng. It serves as a living representation of a typical 19th-century South African farm, established on its original 1850 site. Original Homestead: The white farmhouse was built in 1850 by Jan Gabriel Marais, a Voortrekker who settled in the area with his family.
