The KwaZulu-Natal National Botanical Garden in Pietermaritzburg (PMB) is one of South Africa's oldest botanical gardens, established in 1874. It is widely celebrated for its majestic Plane Tree Avenue, a 100-year-old lane of trees leading to a historic bell tower. Nature Trails: Explore diverse ecosystems including a Natural Forest, wetlands, and themed areas like the Zulu Demonstration Garden. Picnics & Braais: The garden offers expansive lawns ideal for picnics and is one of the few national gardens with braai facilities. Wildlife & Birding: Over 180 bird species have been recorded.
