The Estuary Boardwalk in St Lucia, South Africa (located near the St Lucia Ski Boat Club), is a scenic, approximately 1.6 km (1 mile) wooden walkway that meanders through mangroves and along the water's edge. It offers a safe vantage point to observe the diverse wildlife of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Location: The trail begins at the end of the road near the St Lucia Ski Boat Club and leads directly to the Estuary Mouth and beach. Night Safety: Hippos are known to roam the streets and town at night. If you are walking near the boardwalk after dark, it is advisable to use a torch and remain extremely cautious.
