About Bee Eater Bird Hide
The Bee Eater Bird Hide, located at 520 Crocodile Road in Marloth Park, is a public wildlife viewing shelter managed by local honorary rangers and the Marlothii Conservancy. Positioned directly on the southern boundary fence of the Kruger National Park, the structure overlooks the Crocodile River, providing an elevated vantage point to observe regional fauna and megafauna, including elephants, hippos, and crocodiles.
The hide is explicitly designated for quiet observation, operates daily between 05:00 and 18:00, and is a documented nesting and foraging site for the White-fronted Bee-eater (Merops bullockoides) alongside more than 350 other bird species recorded within the reserve's riverine bushveld ecosystem.
