About Elephant's Eye Cave
Elephant’s Eye Cave is one of Cape Town’s most rewarding "high-reward, low-effort" hikes. Located within the Silvermine Nature Reserve (part of Table Mountain National Park), it offers a relatively easy trail suitable for beginners, families, and dogs. The trail is a beautiful out-and-back walk through lush fynbos that opens up to spectacular panoramic views of the Southern Suburbs, False Bay, and Constantia Valley. The cave itself is massive, often covered in green ferns and moss, providing a cool, mystical spot for a picnic.
