About Pringle Bay Lagoon

Tucked quietly at the end of 573 Anne Road where the Buffels River meets the ocean, the Pringle Bay Lagoon is a breathtaking natural playground. This spectacular estuary features incredibly clear, amber-tinted waters that maintain a much warmer and gentler temperature than the robust ocean waves of False Bay. Surrounded by pristine white sand dunes and set against a striking backdrop of the Hangklip Mountain range, it serves as an ideal sanctuary for families, kayakers, and paddleboarders. Younger children can safely splash and play in the shallow river mouth pools while older adventurers try bodyboarding where the lagoon breaches into the sea. Immersed fully within the UNESCO-protected Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve, the lagoon area offers visitors a tranquil and uncrowded slice of wilderness where they can swim, admire local birdlife, and capture unforgettable coastal sunset photography.
