Tucked away just off the main coastal road, the Simon's Town Navy Sports Field (Martello Sports Ground) embodies the deep-rooted connection between the town's community and the South African Navy. While primarily used for naval physical training and inter-service championships, it regularly opens its gates to host external teams like the South African Police Service and local colleges to foster sportsmanship.The field provides an excellent vantage point of the surrounding mountains and False Bay. It also acts as a critical landmark during the annual SA Navy Festival, where major traffic diversions and parade staging take place right along its perimeter.
