About Waenhuiskrans Cave
Waenhuiskrans Cave (also known as the Arniston Cave) is a massive limestone sea cavern located in the Waenhuiskrans Nature Reserve near the fishing village of Arniston. Its name translates to "Wagon House Cliff," originating from the legend that the cave is so cavernous that a wagon with a full span of oxen could comfortably turn around inside. Check Tide Tables: The cave is only accessible at low tide. The entrance is completely submerged during high tide, and visitors risk being trapped if the tide turns while they are inside.
