About SANParks Woodville Big Tree
The Woodville Big Tree is a massive, 800-year-old Outeniqua Yellowwood (Afrocarpus falcatus) located in the Wilderness section of the Garden Route National Park. This ancient giant stands roughly 33 metres tall with a massive 12-metre trunk circumference, serving as a primary landmark for hikers and nature lovers. Location: Near the town of Hoekwil, accessible via the Seven Passes Road. Fees: A small SANParks conservation fee is required. Important: The office typically accepts card payments only; cash is not accepted.
