About Worcester Golf Club
The Worcester Golf Club is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Gary Player and Peter Matkovich, located in the Breede River Valley foothills of the Brandwacht Mountains in Worcester, Western Cape. Officially opened on April 30, 1988, the course features large bentgrass greens set against a rugged Karoo landscape that spans 6,051 meters from the club tees with a par rating of 72. Its layout incorporates natural water hazards, indigenous trees, and dedicated golf cart paths, routing the front nine up toward the mountainside and concluding the back nine directly at the main clubhouse. In addition to the course, the facility operates a driving range, a fully stocked Pro Shop, a Halfway House restaurant known for its Friday pub lunches, and a panoramic clubhouse lounge with a licensed bar and a function venue accommodating up to 160 guests.
