Visiting the Military Museum inside the Castle of Good Hope was a highlight of my trip to Cape Town. The museum is incredibly well-curated, offering a comprehensive look at the country’s military past from early colonial conflicts and the Anglo-Boer War to more modern history. The collection of historical uniforms, swords, and medals is impressive, and the life-sized dioramas really help bring the stories to life. Being housed within the walls of the oldest colonial building in South Africa adds a layer of authenticity you just can’t get anywhere else.
