Coursed with ancient footpaths and historic wagon trails, this iconic Franschhoek estate was once part of a neighbouring property originally granted to French Huguenot farmers in 1694. By the 1830’s, it belonged to Paulina Pepler, making her one of South Africa’s first female landowners. Local lore touts her as a pioneering winemaker of her time – her resourceful spirit continues to inspire us in our own endeavours.
