About Signal Gun Wines
Signal Gun Wines is a historic, family-owned boutique winery located on Hooggelegen Farm in the Durbanville Wine Valley near Cape Town. Managed by the De Wit family for generations, the estate produces handcrafted, small-batch wines including their flagship Sea Smoke Sauvignon Blanc, which is grown on some of the highest vineyard blocks in the region, alongside varietals like Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinotage, and Méthode Cap Classique.
Visitors to the farm can experience the Die Stal Tasting Room, dine at the Wilde Vy Bistro, or participate in a Wine Safari Tour that takes guests through the vineyards on the Hoogeberg hills. Reflecting its historical roots, the estate features an original 300-year-old VOC cannon that is still fired for guests on celebratory occasions and the first Saturday of every month.
