Durban, KwaZulu-NatalParadise Valley Nature Reserve, situated at 10 Oxford Road in Pinetown, Durban, is a 100-hectare protected area managed by the eThekwini Municipality that preserves coastal forest and grassland biomes. The reserve features four distinct hiking trails - the Waterfall, Duiker, Bushbuck, and Dormouse trails which lead visitors through dense vegetation to a prominent waterfall on the Umbilo River and the historic ruins of the 1887 Umbilo Waterworks. Amenities on the property include an interpretive center, a braai and picnic area, public restrooms, a children's playground, and secure parking.
